February Favourites 2016!

So for my first ever monthly favourites video, I thought I would talk about some of my favourite items of make up that I have been using lately! I have tried a lot of new products lately and these are some of my favourites!

W7 'In the Night' Palette
One of my latest discoveries is the W7 'In the Night' palette! This palette caught my attention as the colours in it are so pretty. The colours are very pigmented and vibrant, which look great when you blend them out on your eyes! The colours are mostly shimmery, with a few Matte shades as well... if you aren't one for 'shimmer on your eyes', then I would maybe give this palette a miss!
Ii think this is a great alternative to the 'Naked' palettes, that although are amazing, are very pricey! This is also not the only palette of this kind that W7 do... they do some great other palettes with more everyday shades, so their is something for everyone. I am also sure I only paid about £6-£7 for this, a bargain if you ask me!

One of my favourite blush brands has got to definitely be Sleek! I think the colours they produce look amazing on your cheeks and I have never found a palette that has disappointed me!
One of my favourite palettes from Sleek has got to be their 'Pink Lemonade' collection!
Sleek 'Pink Lemonade' Palette

This palette comes with 2 powder blushes and 1 cream blush, so their is something there whatever your preference. I love these blushes so much! The shades are perfect for everyday wear, the pale pink is gorgeous on pale skin like myself and gives you a natural flush on the cheeks. The cream colour is really complimentary for any skins type or tone and the consistency is really easy to blend out, giving you a really natural finish. Finally the Gold/Pink colour is great for giving paler skin a bit of warmth and a glow, as it has a slight shimmer throughout as well!
This is a palette I use on an everyday basis! I will need to venture to the shops and see what other palettes they do as I can't wait to try them all out!

Swatches of colours

Moving onto something that is only a new discovery of mines, from the brand 'Olay'. To be honest, 'Olay' is not a brand I use a lot, however I decided to try the 'Firm and Lift Primer'. Now I do think this is more for mature skin, however I heard a lot of people talk about how good this product was for all kinds of skin, so I decided to give it a go!

'Olay Anti Wrinkle 2 in 1 Primer'

The product itself is very moisturising, which I was impressed with as I often find primers quite dry on my skin. It feels really nice on the skin and provides a smooth and flawless base for make up to be applied. I do think my make up lasts a lot longer when I wear this primer and I feel it looks better for longer. It doesn't crease or 'cake' on the skins and it doesn't settle into my pores, which I find is a problem for myself when wearing make up. I am very impressed and overall would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a general all round primer!

'Gimme brow' in the shade medium/deep
The next make-up item that has been an essential for me lately is the 'Gimme Brow' eyebrow gel from 'Benefit'! I love this product and have not only been using it this month, but since it was released! Ii have very 'messy' eyebrows and I struggle to keep the hairs all going in the same direction, however this has genuinely been a lifesaver! Ii brush this gel through my eyebrows to keep them in shape all day and to also add a bit of depth and colour. This is in the shade Medium/Deep, however they do have a lighter one for those with lighter hair! The brush is very small, which is ideal for targeting the ends of the eyebrows which tend to be alot thinner. This also stops the product from getting on the skin, which is handy for me as I am not the best at eyebrows! This product is normally £18-£19. however is definitely a bargain if you are like me and looking for something that does the job well!

Lasting Perfection concealer in the shade 'Light'
Another product that I have been using for years now is the 'Lasting Perfection' concealer from the brand 'Collection' This for me, has always been the best drug store concealer, as it gives amazing coverage for any redness, spots or discolouration on the skin. It blends really well and makes skin look flawless. It always amazes me that this product is only around £5 in the shops, a complete bargain for how good the product is. Their are around 4 shades I believe, so no matter your skin tone, you should find a shade that matches you!

I like to use this under my eyes to hide any darkness and it makes me look more awake and alert as it brightens my skin as well as concealing! A complete must have in my book!

Mascara wand
Soap and Glory 'Thick and Fast' M

My last favourite of February is a mascara from 'Soap and Glory', a brand that I wouldn't normally go to for make-up. However this mascara has changed that! This 'Collagen Coat' mascara makes my eyelashes look ginormous and thick, making me look more awake and making my eyes pop! The brush is quite big and the bristles are very long, ensuring that it gets in between the eyelashes to give volume and length. The packaging itself is sleek and looks 'expensive', as it is a gold/silver chrome effect. I will definitely be going out to purchase this again when it runs out as it is an essential in my make up bag now!

So I hope you enjoyed reading about my February Favourites! Comment what your favourites as I would love to know!
