EOS Lipbalm Review...

So I am definitely a huge lip balm hoarder. I suffer really dry lips on a daily basis so love having a good collection of lip balms that I can use to help protect my lips from damage and keep them looking healthy and smooth. When I was in America I bought some of the EOS lip balms and was extremely excited to try them. I have been using them for a few weeks so I can tell you honestly how I got on.

These lip balms are very popular all over the world and I was excited to see what all the hype was about. Firstly I do love the flavors. They have a wide range with flavors like pomegranate and blueberry which leave the lips feeling nice and soft but at the same time ensuring that the taste and smell great! I also think the colours of the packaging are a nice extra, nice and vibrant and match the flavors really well.

The packaging is quite big and chunky in my opinion, they aren't ideal for keeping in your pocket and having handy to use when you need it. I don't get why it is the shape that it is either. The application end is very big and although the balm itself is clear, it doesn't give much accuracy, meaning you also get it on your face..... which isn't ideal when you are wearing make up!

I also tend to find that it is very easy to waste the balm when you are re-applying the lid! I have done this on a lot of occasion, which is a shame because it means that the lid rubs against the product and removes part of the balm as it catches when the lid is placed over the top. It's not something that you want to happen when you are using it on a regular basis.

When it comes to the product itself, I am not overly impressed. It is nothing special and hasn't done anything to make me amazed or overly satisfied. The balm is pretty basic and gives a nice coat to the lips to protect it from the Scottish elements, however I wouldn't say in my experience that my lips felt any more moisturized or nourished after using the product, which I would expect from a good lip balm. I would have preferred for the product to have had a little colour in it as well, I think it would have made the lip balms a little better and more appealing to me as I do have naturally paler lips.

Overall I will use this product however I am a bit disappointing with the product in general. I was expecting it to be a little more moisturizing and nourishing for my dry lips and although it does protect the lips from the wind or rain we are currently experiencing in Scotland, I don't find it does anything extra to really amaze or impress me.

I do love the Nivea lip balms and find when I use them, my lips feel in great condition, which unfortunately this doesn't. I think I will be sticking to them in the future.....

Tell me your opinion about the 'EOS Lip Balms'. I'd love to hear what you think!

  1. I love this blog post and completely agree with it all! Although they look super cute I do think they are slightly over priced yet they under deliver!💘
