Nakin Review

So were back!

After a few weeks break I am back with some exciting collabs, which I can't wait to share with you all. I have always loved discovering new brands, so when I got the chance to try out some of Nakins skincare pieces, I couldn't resist the chance to give their products a go! I had never heard of Nakin before, so I was excited when I received their Lip Balm and Eye cream, I couldn't wait to try them out as they are two skincare products I rely on a lot (I am part of the dark eye and dry lip gang)!

I have been using both for a few weeks and I am really impressed with both products....

So first off, the eye cream! I have tried a few different brands of eye cream over the years and I have never found one that I absolutely love, and couldn't live without. I have been trying the Nakin eye cream now for a few weeks and I actually really like it, it has to definitely be up there with one of my favourites. It is scent free, which is great for me as I find certain scents can aggravate my sensitive eyes and cause them to get uncomfortable and itchy, which then defeats the point of using the eye cream in the first place. The cream is a good consistency and feels nice on your skin, it is creamy enough to feel moisturising but isn't thick or gloopy, which I have found some eye creams to be over the years.

My eyes have definitely benefited from using this over the past few weeks and I have been really impressed. Has it cured my dark eyes? No! But my eyes feel healthier and the skin looks and feels more plump and youthful than before. Even for someone in their 20's, this is going to remain a crucial part of my skincare routine... I have even let my mum try it to see if she loves it as much as me!

Now, if you are like me and suffer from dry lips 365 days a year, then Nakins lip balm is the product for you. Again I have gone through many different lip balms over the years, trying to find one that kept my rough lips at bay, and this has been one of the most beneficial. A small amount goes a long way at keeping the lips protected and moisturised... something which is essential with the harsh Scottish weather.

My lips haven't been chapped in weeks, which is very uncommon for me. I can't remember the last time I could say that! It has been a blessing for my make up too, as I like to use a small amount on my lips before I apply any sort of brighter or more dramatic colour, so the colour looks consistent and my lips look healthy and full. I have nothing to say but positives for the lip treatment and is a handbag essential for anyone who has problems with dry lips.. like me!

So I cannot wait to discover some of Nakins other products and to give them a go. I have been really impressed with the quality of the products, they really work and have made a huge and noticeable difference to my skin. I will be honest, I don't have a skincare routine that I essentially follow, however I do know when my skin needs a boost and with regular use of both the eye cream and the lip treatment, my face has been feeling more moisturised and plump!

I know with Autumn round the corner these are going to be well used and I'll no doubt need to restock in preparation!
