Weight loss is something many people struggle with, but what are the best ways to combat it without extreme dieting. Firstly, you should consider a professional. If you need a health coach, you can look at ways in which they could assist you. With the amount of information available online today, gyms all over the country and high awareness of fitness, it is easy to be a part of this world. Many people who are exposed to the world for the first time do not know how to lose weight, whether they should first gain muscle mass or lose fat percentage.

Use smaller plates

You can use small plates to "work" on the brain, which actually happens that you actually eat the same amount and even less. The larger your plates or bowls are the more your brain will think you ate less because of the proportions between the food and the size of the plate even if it is the same amount. By using smaller plates you can make your brain feel satisfied with fewer calories. It may sound strange to you but feel free to give it a try and see if it works!

Drink water!

Drinking water will help us reduce weight in several ways:



  1. Drinking plenty of water will help increase the body's feeling of satiety.

  2. Drinking water in the morning and throughout the day helps increase metabolism.

  3. Attaching a drink to meals can be a good way not only to reduce the amount eaten and can help with weight loss, but also to remember to drink in general.


Having trouble drinking a lot of water? Start walking around with a comfortable water bottle and sip on it throughout the day!

Fibre, vegetables and fruits, what is it about?

Combining foods like certain vegetables and fruits, foods with high water content and dietary fiber that help increase the feeling of satiety, will help you eat more food and feel more "full" with fewer calories entering our bodies. Make a good salad with the meal and thus reduce the food with the higher amount of calories. Protein, the building block of muscle. How much have we heard about protein intake in a sports diet, but how will eating more of it help us ? When we eat more protein we will fill our bodies adequately with fewer calories than if we fill our bodies with more carbohydrates. Combining animal products (rich in protein) with plants (low calorie density) is a recipe for success. It is important to note that carbohydrates are necessary and removing them from the menu completely is not a positive thing for the body.

Eat less simple carbs

Carbohydrates have a bad reputation in the context of weight loss. If you ever thought about lowering carbs to lose weight you may have been right to some extent, but let's understand to what extent. Removing the simple and easy carbs from the menu will ensure significant reduction and results immediately. These include reducing sugars, sweets, carbonated beverages and starchy foods such as white bread, pasta and more. Instead you will combine to some extent complex carbohydrates like wholemeal bread, sweet potatoes, oats, basmati rice pasta and more.
